Essential Media Events Ltd (EME) was founded by Sonja Allen who has created a team of people with an immense amount of experience, working extensively in national press & magazines, local media as well as national and local events. 

Having worked on both national press & national magazine launches - the work ethic of the EME team is strong and enthusiastic.

EME launched their first event - The Essential Wedding Show at Burghley House, Stamford - in November 2008. The event attracted a staggering amount of visitors in a single day and was declared a resounding success by all exhibitors because it generated significant new business. Visitors to the show described it as 'exquisite, unique, exceptional and stylish', all the things you should expect from a wedding show of this caliber.

New in 2009 saw the launch of The Essential Education Show. This event was born out of an original idea by EME who identified a massive gap in the market for a good education show for the region. You will no longer have to travel to an event in London or Birmingham to understand what is available right on your doorstep. The Essential Education show brings education to life and will be innovative and extremely interactive and just as importantly, a fun filled day out for anyone interested in education, irrelevant of age.

2010 saw EME Ltd enter the B2B market with The Specialist Media Show at the new exec centre in Peterborough.  It's an event created for media people by media people. The Show focuses on the needs of the Independent & specialist media market, providing them with opportunities to learn about new channels, share ideas and tips and network with peers.

EME Ltd also offers media owners a contract service where you have the opportunity of using EME’s organisational skills and sales expertise to launch, sell and/or organize an event for their specialist title. Saving you the client the overheads of running a sales department and logistics team.

Essential Media Events Ltd is dedicated to providing good quality events that will not only enrich people's lives but greatly assist the development of Independent businesses within our region and throughout the UK.

Within the next five years EME Ltd will provide East Anglia and the East Midlands with some of the UK's most innovative and inspiring events - watch this space.
